PTA anyyone? We are in the process of forming a PTO for MALVIS and need your help in our critical operation. In thinking of ways to do things better at MALVIS.
I truly think we, somehow, need to get parents more involved in the process. We need to have as many parents as possible. I spoke with many of you already and know already that many of you would love to join if we assign specific and finite tasks.
I asked Br. Dakka to help and he stepped up to the plate and will help get the project off the ground. Your help and support will undoubtedly be needed.
Suggested partial list of tasks to be sponsored/handled by the PTO and DONE by PTO members and parents:
- Recommend a list of Teachers and TAs
- Fund raising from sale-related activities (bake sale, selling candies , boxtops. . .. )
- Supervise children at recess
- helping children make wudu
- prepare lunch
- prepare social hall
- pick up pizza
- Office work (organize database and filing system regularly)
- Issue news letter
- update bulletin boards in the hallways
I am sure you'll have better ideas on how to do this and we certainly open for suggestions.
